Digital Storytelling for Language Teachers

This course aims at introducing the concept of digital storytelling (DST), its theoretical underpinnings, its application in language learning, and digital technology tools applied for generating digital stories. More specifically, DST tools ranging from simple audio- and/or video-generating tools to more sophisticated online comic-strip and animated content-generation technologies (i.e., Zimmer-Twins & Animaker) will be introduced and focused on. The course will be workshop-oriented implying that the participants will be required to try working with the introduced technologies throughout the course.
